Privacy policy

Last updated June 12, 2026

InCaseBinder is built privacy-first. This policy explains, in plain language, what we do and don't collect. The short version: the answers you type into your binder never leave your device.

Your binder answers stay on your device

The questionnaire runs entirely in your browser. Everything you enter — names, contacts, account details, medical notes, wishes — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device and is used only to generate your PDF locally. It is never transmitted to, stored on, or readable by our servers. We could not see your binder even if we wanted to. The encrypted backup file you can download is encrypted in your browser with a password only you know.

What we do collect

  • Payments. When you buy the download, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, but never your card details. Your binder content is not sent to Stripe.
  • Email (only if you give it). If you request the free ICE sheet or subscribe, your email address is stored by our email provider, Sender, so we can send you the printable and occasional preparedness tips. You can unsubscribe from any email. The fields you fill into the free ICE sheet itself stay on your device — only your email address is sent to us.
  • Analytics & advertising. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the Pinterest Tag to understand which ads bring visitors and whether they convert. These set cookies and may share standard event data (such as page views and purchases) with Meta and Pinterest. They do not receive your binder answers.
  • Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes standard request logs (IP address, browser type) to serve and secure the site.

Cookies

We use local storage to save your binder progress on your device, and advertising cookies from Meta and Pinterest as described above. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings, or use your browser's tracking-protection features.

Your choices

  • Clear your binder data anytime by clearing your browser's site data.
  • Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message we send.
  • Request access to or deletion of the email data we hold by writing to support@incasebinder.com.

Children

InCaseBinder is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16.
